What could be more?? It nevers stops!!!

It was a bright sunny monday morning, where I was feeling good, wearing my brand new low-waist bootcut Levis jeans (which I got a great deal @ $57) and my favourite pair of leather shoes, heading for the last Technoolgy & the Law lecture. Upon finishing the lecture, I headed for my car, thinking of what to get for lunch, when I suddenly realised my wheelcaps where missing! My first thought was, "Eh? Is this my car??" and yup, it was a Suzuki Baleno with the words "Brandon & Jill's ride" was on the rear glass of the car.. Some bugger STOLE my wheelcaps!! My first reation was to check if all 4 were gone, and yup, ALL 4 was stolen..

"Not again.." I said to myself..

It came to a point where I'm not pissed or anything, but rather something hilarious.. "Could anything more suay be occuring??"

Anyway, adding on to the "suay" events occuring this semester:

1) i lost my wallet at mambo red
2) my bike got stolen
3) my toe got smashed
4) i got cheated of my handphone on ebay
5) my laptop died
6) my wheelcaps got stolen

What more could be happening?? It'll never stops..

Tune in to RideWithPride for future "suay" event!

EFF: Legal Guide for Bloggers

Whether you're a newly minted blogger or a relative old-timer, you've been seeing more and more stories pop up every day about bloggers getting in trouble for what they post.

Like all journalists and publishers, bloggers sometimes publish information that other people don't want published. You might, for example, publish something that someone considers defamatory, republish an AP news story that's under copyright, or write a lengthy piece detailing the alleged crimes of a candidate for public office.

The difference between you and the reporter at your local newspaper is that in many cases, you may not have the benefit of training or resources to help you determine whether what you're doing is legal. And on top of that, sometimes knowing the law doesn't help - in many cases it was written for traditional journalists, and the courts haven't yet decided how it applies to bloggers.

But here's the important part: None of this should stop you from blogging. Freedom of speech is the foundation of a functioning democracy, and Internet bullies shouldn't use the law to stifle legitimate free expression.

For more information on how to protect yourself, check out EFF: Legal Guide for Bloggers

However, I'm not sure whether this legal guide is useful to people outside the US, because of the conflict of international laws, etc.. nonetheless, i feel it's a good guide for all and worth a look, in order to prevent from being sued in the ass for writing some defamatory crap..

First creation!!

I've officially made my first ambigram!!

want your name to be 'ambi-fied'?? it's just a low cost of $49.99!! nah, jus kidding... only $49.49!!

Ambigrams

I'm truely fasinated by ambigrams when reading "Angels & Demons", so I decided to make my own..

Ok... I'm not so talented in art, but i managed to find one on the net with my name.. but the image was too small and blurry.. so i had to hand draw it, sent it up to photoshop and trace it electronically..

after a day of painstaking, eyes-straining work.. this is what i did...

in case of those who hasn't got a clue what ambigrams are, they're words that can be read either way.. or should i say; it's the same word when viewed upside-down..

so izzit readable? was thinking of using it for a tattoo on my arm... hmmm...

Do to others, what you want others to do to you...

I hope I got it right, but at least that's what I was being taught at home.. together with manners and a proper upbringing, before Mum passed on.. the rest is learnt on my own, life experiences, something that can't be taught..

Yesterday presentation sucked. Everyone had overheads and presented in detail about their research. ME? An brief summery of our study, with no overheads.. Anyway, that presentation was a last minute thingy.. Didn't wanna go at first, cos the presentation carries no marks.. go also waste time.. but then I thought we might be getting our individual report back, but never leh...

anyway, i decided not to quit Sakura for the time being... the boss raised my pay after 3 weeks! not much, $0.50 more per hour.. but he made me feel bad to quit.. the other staffs din even get pay rise after working for months! then yesterday me and Jill went to buy BB tea from Sakura, and we met the boss there.. he was like, "BB tea?? free, free.. no pay.." and gave me 2 boxes of sushi.. made me feel even bad about thinking of quitting..

anyone got ideas for a date? 'cept the dinner and movie thingy.. send your recommendations to chekngan@hotmail.com

it's been awhile...

since i last lost it, my temper i mean...

there have been a couple of times where i jus endure and try to not blow up.. of cos not everytime is becos of u, actually most of it is not becos of u.. but keeping all these emotions in me, is like a antimatter waiting to get in contact with a matter, then BOOM!!! (Angels and Demons) i think my temper has gonna better already.. i remembered myself when i was young, a hot-tempered young man who let his anger ruled over his head.. but over the past few years, this pitbull has tone down alot..

anyway, i'm sorry that u had to be the one who directly experienced the explosion.. i can be a jerk at times, i know that.. i'm sorry for always making u cry.. but i'm glad to have u.. to have u around to console me whenever things gets to my head.. but u got to noe, i'm a person who sets my priorities right... well, overboard at times maybe, but i jus cant do anything if my mind is on something else... i stress myself alot.. i set high expectations on myself, and maybe on you as well... i'm sorry to pull u into my mess.. i realised we have different working patterns.. pls try and understand me as well...

i accidentally scratched my car jus now... cos of the stupid pole the owner put on the edge of the lawn.. knn... plus felix's car was partially blocking me.. i thought i might be able to pull through, cos i din wanna trouble him to move his car, since he was having his dinner.. stupid.. it's not a very obvious scratch, but it quite a long one.. fuck.. this would make selling it even more difficult now.. i wouldnt expect to much now... getting half of wat we paid, i'll be happy enough.. haiz..

nothing's going great for me.. hope wrissspoo is right about my fortune.. that i'll be successful and enjoy at a later stage of my life.. but meanwhile, must finish this 10%, 4000 words project... cheebye...

Thanks for the help!

thanks to all those who participated in the survey. the results were amazing! 186 responses in 2 nights! at first i was thinking, "getting 100 response would be kinda difficult.. got 40 i happy le...".

the funny thing is Jill forwarded this survey to her aunt, who is working at the "School of Management" from some insititute, and she forwarded it to her colleague, who is then highly interested in our research and wishes us to let him knowing our findings! haha! People are actually keen on our research! maybe this is a chance to boost our reputation!

anyway, dun keep our hopes too high. Lastly, thanks again, to those who had helped out! your response is greatly appreciated!

I need your help once more!

Dear all,

I'm doing this research as part of my course requirement and I need your help in filling up this survey for me. I need a total of 100 responses and sad to say, I'm already late on schedule. Please, please, please help me fill this up asap, and if possible, forward it to your friends or colleagues. It's only a short questionnaire, and will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

work sucks!

for the past 3 weeks, i've been working at Sakura's, the japanese cum bubble tea shop at wintrop. i agreed to work there cos i tot jill would be able to get a job there as well, but it turns out i got the job, and jill din't. anyway, it pays me $8 per hour, but expects the works of $20 per hour! making me work like a horse, no breaks, but lunch is on the house la.. damn bo hua lo.. work so hard, pay so little.. it's not that i cant bear the hardship, it's that i find it unreasonable to pay so little yet, there's so much to be done. whereas the girl working outside jus need to take orders and she get paid the same amount.. just compare the amount of work we've to do la! anyway, i told the boss i wanna quit.. totally irritated..

even though we had a 10 mistakes advantage, i still study like kaopeikaobu. and hard work does pays off.. lim bei scored 100%!! and not only that, lim bei top lim bei's class together with another girl.. 37/40! if u look at it this way, nobody's result is better than lim bei's! woot! first time in lim bei's life this kind of dai-ji happen sia.. sibei happy sia, must let the whole world noe lim bei is a good student!

Guess who's in town??!!

I was waiting to get my hair cut when my phone rang and showed "Anonymous" (instead of 'private no' for nokia users). i answered and it was a woman, so my first instinct was that it was Jill's mum, as she called that very morning as well..

"Hello, Auntie ah?"

"Huh? what Auntie??"

"Huh? then who? Meihui ah?"

"Eh, how u noe??? where are you??"

"Oh, I'm waiting to get my hair cut.."

"Oh izzit? Where?"

(feeling weird..) "In Perth..." *duh*

"I'm here."

"HUH??!! WTF?? You must be fucking around with me..." (turning around frantically, thinking that she's behind me..) "Where are you??!"

"I'm serious.. I'm near Carosel.. If I'm not here, how would i know abt Carosel???"

"Oh man... Why din you tell me earlier??!

"It was meant to be a surprise!!!"

I was shocked stiff.. sweating cold sweat... this's a good one guys.. totally unexpected.. to think that all of u can keep me in the dark for so long...

Later that day, finally got to see my Galwiser when we brought her to Hog's Breath to eat her first Aussie steak! I tot she wouldn't able to finish the steak but to my surprise, she actually finished the steak, less the fries and vege.. but it's good enough.. and she wanna go again before going back... that night, Meihui and Colin became good mates.. "Hog's Breath Lovers"...

Me and my Galwiser.

Baby and Galwiser. The two of them are menecingly thinking of going to places to shop... I'm in trouble..

I like the way the sign glows.. we actually forgotten to take pictures in the restaurant, too busy catching up and gossiping about ivan... anyway, since we'll be going again, we'll make sure to take some.

Lastly, thanks May for being such a sweetie and gave me this huge surprise.. It's the best birthday present any friend could recieved!!
